I use AutoCad 2000. I would like to know where I would learn how to
download a .dwg file to an X-Y plotter table I made. My plotter is designed
using two servo motors, one in the x plane and the other in the y plane.
What language does AutoCad use and what do I need to study / learn, to be
able to interface my plotter with a typical .dwg file. Any information at
all would be appreciated. I just need to know where to start. Thanks.

As far is I know there is no simple way to plot a dwg file on a homemade
plotter directly (or no way at all). You might be able to use HPGL to
    control your plotter.

Do a google on the subject and look for a program that might be able to
control your servo motors and import HPGL
