  3. I ran an FX500 for a while before my ATI card arrived and it wasn't a bad
card at all. At a considerably lower price than the others, it's worth
    considering.

so the 500 is entry level not much poop, the 1000/1100 seems to be a good
middle ground for 670-1200+$$$ at most e-stores, so for $550 the fx2000
    sounds like a bargin right?

i have a 3000 at work and it rocks, i have a hard hacked geforce 4600 at
home and it sucks ass (was ok until i hard hacked it like an ass!) now i'm
in dire need for a new card and this looks like the only way i'm going to
get one cheap! i'm going with the fx2000 and hope for the best. thanks guys

tha fact is for less than the price of a fx1000 you can get an fx2000. that
was my only point. i always like to have a little more than not enough. i
worked for a co. that when first out of the gate put 8-10 gb hd's in the cad
puters! let me tell you...your ass was always against that wall! he was
afraid you may have an mp3 or 2 stored on there. he learned!
i just think it is a hell of a deal, and in the tooling industry you never
know when your next job just may be a 10,000,000 pc assy. ;0) thanks for all
    the comments guys.

    Scott,

Don't do ya much good if ya don't have a PCI-E slot on the board....

I've read that boards with PCI-E won't have AGP at all, and visa-versa.
Hardware conflicts or some such thing.

The slot on the board will drive the type of card.
