VLIDE break on error

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Randy Richardson, Aug 18, 2003.

  1. Well I was just given a new computer to use and I suppose I ought to be
estatic, but the VLIDE is not giving me the same features I had come to
depend upon on the old system (although, like they say, you don't know what
    you got 'til it's gone).

On the old computer, (Windows NT) if I clicked "Break On Error" on the Tools
menu, it stayed checked. I only had to do this once.

In this new computer, (Windows 2000) it comes un-checked. Is there a
setting that I'm missing? I want it checked all the time. I don't ever
want that to be un-checked. Is this possible?

    Thanks,

    Randy Richardson

  3. I close AutoCAD daily, so the change should have taken effect the first time
    I did it.

I turned it on again and closed AutoCAD this afternoon, and the VLIDE.DSK
    file contains line

    (*break* . T)

so hopefully it will remain this time?????

  4. OK, the setting is holding now. Maybe I had more than one AutoCAD open at
the time when I set this the first time, or some other unacceptable. Maybe
it's just one of those computer mysteries that will never be solved.
