An Autocad 2002 drawing was embedded (not linked) into a Word 2002 document. As long as Autocad 2002 is installed, you can double click the object in Word, and it will launch Autocad 2002 to edit it. But, some time has gone by and Autocad 2002 has been uninstalled and replaced with Autocad 2004. Now, when attempting to edit the object by double clicking in Word, get error messages:

"This object was created in Autocad. This application is not available to open this object. Make sure the application is properly installed and that it has not been deleted, moved, or renamed."
    and
"The server application, source file, or item cannot be found. Make sure the application is properly installed and that it has not been deleted, moved, or renamed."

I know this problem happened with earlier releases as well, and Autodesk posted a registry "hack" to correct this. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.

Try resetting the Windows / Settings.. Folder Options.. File Types..AutoCAD Drawing..
Edit this, point to R2004 acad.exe..
