    Hello,
I am wondering if there are any rules of thumb for printing you are aware of.
I want to print a 1000 ft long model space on a 11x17 format. What would be an acceptable font size to have it readable.

I guess an ideal scale to have it fit would be 1:67

    Thanks

I don't think you want any text to be smaller than 1/16" high. Others might say it
HAS to be 3/32" or 1/8" but for 11 x 17, you won't have a lot of room for standard
    text heights.

For older people, 1/16" is about the smallest they can read without having to strain.
Maybe you can use 5/64" text heights.

Try to use a standard scale or something with even numbers. Looks like you will be
able to squeeze it in barely, using 1" = 60', 1" = 70' is odd, but will give you
about 1" on each side, and 1" = 80' will be about the smallest you would want to make
    it.
