    Hi All,

What's the easiest way to take a tread (900x300x50mm) and pattern it up
around a centre to create a spiral staircase ?

    Thanks for your thoughts...

one way to do this is to make use or multibodies by a lin pattern of one and
copy/move/rot each tread as reqd. join the bodies with a post extruded up
the middle. you could of course reduce the work by making use of further
patterns of say a 90deg section.

  3. Create mate references to the mating entities of each step in the
staircase. In example concentric for the center axis and coincient for
the plane, where the steps contact each other. Then with ctrl-drag and
smart mate you can easy mate the staircase. You can download example at
    http://www.ditra.biz/DLds/Staircase.zip.
    The main assembly is stylba.sldasm
