Solidworks 2006 and SigmaNEST Problem

Discussion in 'SolidWorks' started by Richard Charney, Oct 31, 2005.

  1. I just got this in an e-mail today from SigmaTEK. I don't know how many
other people use SigmaNEST for creating laser files, but we use it daily. I
guess I'm going to have to wait a little longer now to start using SW2006.

    Good morning & afternoon,

SigmaTEK would like to take a moment to provide some information to our
current SolidWorks users. As is commonly known, SolidWorks has recently
released version 2006. At this time the SolidWorks interface to SigmaNEST
does not support this new 2006 version due to a problem within SolidWorks.
SolidWorks is aware of the problem and it will be fixed in the 2006 Service
Pack 2. Therefore, we recommend that this SolidWorks version not be
installed until SolidWorks 2006 Service Pack 2 is released in mid-November.
This release will include a patch to fix SigmaNEST-SolidWorks 2006 issue.
Additionally, the latest production release of SigmaNEST version 7.0 will be
    required at that time.

Should you have any questions in regards to this matter, or you have already
began using SolidWorks 2006 and are experiencing problems, please contact
    Technical Support at .

We thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter.

    Sincerely,

    SigmaTEK Technical Support

    Thanks.

Did you by any chance participate in Beta or try the EV versions of
    SW2006?

  3. No, I didn't. I didn't really have any time to do any Beta testing.
    Did you?

By the way, do you use the "Solidworks Import" to bring parts into
    SigmaNEST?
