Snap Toggle at bottom of drawing editor 2002

A fellow employee has asked me if there is a way to remove the "Snap" toggle button at the bottom of the editor in AutoCAD 2002. I am unaware of anything. Does anyone know of a way? (It's "driving her crazy".) Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided !!
