"Save" prompt after print/plot? etc.....

I'm fairly new to Autocad, and most of things I do with it are very
simple. And once I got used to it, the commands and procedures that
seemed stupid at first have become second nature now.. but a few
things have slipped through the filter of time and still seem
    STUPID.....

Is there any way to turn off this "feature"? I understand and
appreciate the prompt to save if I changed the print settings, but if
I just open a drawing, hit plot and OK, then close the drawing, I
think it's ridiculous that it asks me if I want to save it even though
    I didn't change anything.

    And while we're at it...

If I have an object selected in a wide view and then hit the + to zoom
a few levels, would it have been so hard for them to have it zoom on
the objects I have selected, since it's obvious I have some interest
in those objects? Rather than the random direction it seems to take
    while step zooming?

    And another thing....

Why does it add the "[Model]" or whatever to the end of the file name
when I plot to a pdf file?

    And last but not least...

Every once in awhile, our network goes down and before I realize it's
down, I try to start my AutoCAD and it brings up this message about
not being able to find license. I understand that in our case it hits
the network to verify an available license, but instead of just
closing, it resets a number of settings (most of which I don't
recognize or care about), one of which is textfill (Which I do care
about) because it causes normal, filled text to become just outline
text which makes it print out all blotchy looking. So you have to go
in and set this setting again.

    OK, Thanks, I feel better.

Are there any ways to fix/prevent any of these problems?
