I noticed that several contacts in my address book are saved multiple times, and some of the duplicate entries contain different phone numbers or email addresses. This has made my contact list confusing and difficult to manage. I want to clean up these duplicates without accidentally removing important information. What is the best way to fix this issue and properly organize my contacts?

In case there is more than one contact with various phone numbers on the same contact, don't do anything until creating a backup version first, which can be done via exporting the list to VCF files. Locate the duplicated contact. It can be found in either Outlook, Gmail, iCloud, mobile phone contacts, or even in vCard format.

Small contact lists can be merged manually for duplicate names with all valid numbers.

For large VCF files, WholeClear vCard Duplicate Remover can help remove duplicate contacts from VCF files in bulk. It supports VCF files from Outlook, Gmail, iCloud, Skype, iPhone, Android, and other platforms.

    Good approach:

    Backup VCF file
    Scan duplicate contacts
    Review matched contacts
    Save clean VCF file

This keeps the address book cleaner without losing useful contact details.
