roland hi-fi jet fj-40 should i buy

  1. I am offer a roland hi-fi jet fj-40 plotter seems to work ok would you buy
    it to repalce a designjet 350c working well
    is the roland expensive to run

    HI the roland is not really a CAD plotter..is mor for graphic arts...

    May lok at HP500 (and HPGL2card+64MB is recomandd) or better HP800..

    you will get for both (HP500 & 800) a windows system driver, where you can
    select from acad and print to it.
    But important...for the HP500 you should buy also the HPGL2card +64 MB ram,
    if not the HP500 works wit a PCL3 driver,
    and that does not work very well..........
    The HP800 you can buy as in the pricelist, it have enough
    RAM&hardisk&networkcard, you don't need any additional options.
    (Just by the way if "speed" is more important then "quality" then you also
    should look at the HP1050 plotter.....this is the fastest one...great
    plotter)
