Request SKILL to label nets that have names assigned in the schematic for parasitic flow

Discussion in 'Cadence' started by billy hillbilly, Aug 2, 2007.

  1. We use the Calibre parasitic flow and have a need to label nets in the IC61
layout sort of like a map labels road names every few intersections or so.

Does anyone have this SKILL they can provide that takes a manually assigned
schematic net name and labels the layout?

We know the Cadence out of context parasitic cross-probing flow is better
than our current Calibre parasitic resimulation flow but we don't have
Assura or Diva extracted mask layout views so we can't use the Cadence flow
    out of the box.

Do you have SKILL code that will label nets in IC61 layout?

If you have an extracted view (calibre will do), then this is fairly easy.

Assuming the extracted view includes connectivity information in
schematic namespace, it's just a matter of iterating through all the
shapes in the extracted view, and create back a label in the layout view
    according to the netname.

    Or... Am I understanding correctly?
