    Hi all,
I'd create several new layers in a dwg and want to freeze (not shown) them
in some of the existing paperspace viewports (about 40 paperspace layouts).
Is there any script/quick way to do it? TIA

    VPLAYER command will do this,

    also from the Help (Acad2004):

To create new layers that are frozen in all viewports
    1.. Choose a layout tab.
2.. From the Format menu, choose Layer.
3.. Choose New, and rename the new layer.
4.. If necessary, choose Show Details.
5.. Under Details, select Freeze in All Viewports.
    6.. Choose OK.

For existing layers and using VPLAYER, the command sequence is:

    Command: vplayer
    Enter an option [?/Freeze/Thaw/Reset/Newfrz/Vpvisdflt]: f

Enter layer name(s) to freeze or <select objects>: [enter layer names
    here]

Enter an option [All/Select/Current] <Current>: all

    (press enter to quit command)
