ProductView Publishing question

Discussion in 'Pro/Engineer & Creo Elements/Pro' started by Anthony Barlow, Jul 25, 2003.

  1. ProductView 2001 publishing intralink data using Batch Publisher.

Does anybody know the difference between the options 'publish
    dependencies' and 'include drawing models'?

    Thanks

  2. publish dependancies will recurse through whatever you are publishing
and publish every item contained in it. If you are publishing a .drw
the .asm will publish along with any .prts

Include drawing models will publish the model used in the .drw you are
    publishing.

    Anthony,

Publish dependencies will publish all dependents of that object. If
you publish an assembly with this enabled, it will publish all
dependent parts. If you publish a drawing it will publish the
    associated part/assembly.

Include drawing models will create a link on the part/assembly to the
drawing. So that when opening up the part/assembly you can see the
drawing from the same ProductView session. (I think it works vice
versa as well i.e. you can see a part/assembly from a drawing.

    Hope that helps,
    Ryan
