Problem with Wipeout objects on XES 8830 printer

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by terencechatfielduk, Sep 15, 2003.

  1. For our presentation drawings, we use the wipeout object embedded in blocks so we can easily place blocks of people, cars etc over hatching and suchlike. This works out OK for plotting to a nice and slow HP inkjet printer, but sending it to our main printer, a Xerox XES 8830, the wipeout object doesn't seem to exist anymore. It previews fine, but other than that its not coming out that way.

Anyone have any tips? We're printing from ADT3.3 on Windows 2000.

We use the HP750 driver and then use the Xerox DocSubmit. Wipeouts work fine.

  3. Can you please explain what 'Xerox DocSubmit' is, and the process you used?

I saw this in our companies lessons learned folder. See if it helps.

    PROBLEM –
    <
PLOTS USING EXPRESS MENU WOULD NOT WORK EVEN AFTER LOADING LATEST DRIVERS.
    <
    SOLUTION-
    <
    PLOT <enter_command>
    <
IN YOUR PLOT MENU SELECT UNDER PLOT DEVICE TAB ”PROPERITIES”
    <
    THEN UNDER PLOTTER CONFIGURATION EDITOR
    SELECT “GRAPHICS”
    <
    UNDER COLOR DEPTH
    SELECT “2 SHADES OF GRAY”
    <
    UNDER DITHERING
SELECT “NO DITHER COLORS AS BLACK”
    <
    EXPRESS MENU SHOULD PLOT FINE
    <
    GOOD LUCK!
