I seem to be having an issue where one of my users has everyting setup. I have checked the printer paths under options and everything looks fine. The problem is when my user goes to plot. AutoCAD goes through the process sends a message that it plotted with no errors. Even goes as far as for the file name to show up for about ten seconds on the plotter. But then thats it, it just drops off. I have gone through numerous troubleshoooting measures and can determine its not the printer and its not the PC. So its the software. Is there a setting that I missed. Do I need to unistall/re-install.

    Any help is appreciated.

  2. Hi Will,

Can you tell us what Plotter your using? Also if it's a DesignJet see if
you can go into the advanced options of the driver and set it to process in
computer, or try plotting from a layout and see if that completes the plot.

Please let us know how this goes and thanks for posting to the Autodesk
    Discussion News Groups.

    Hi Bud,
Thanks for the response. The plotter model is is an HP DJ-800. I opened up the printing preferences dialog box for my plotter and could not find any radio or check buttons under the advanced tab showing process in computer. Athough I did see is a document processing area which gives a choice of 2 radio buttons

    maximum performance
    avoid out of memory

when I click the avoid out of memory button it says I have chosen to process the document in the computer. this process may make printing slower. Use only to solve out of memory problems.

I am assuming this is the button you speak of.

I will test it out to see if it works.

    Thanks,

That seems to have fixed the problem. I think autodesk needs to put a patch as this wasted 3/4 of a days time trying to figure this out.

    Thanks again,
