I have a problem with plotting an attribute in a block. I have drawing A
with a block defined with several attributes. All of the objects in the
block are on layer 0 except one text object which is on layer 5. I have
layer 5 set to No Plot in drawing A. I XRef drawing A into drawing B and
everything is fine, all objects in the block plot except the object on layer
    5. I then change layer 5 to plot in drawing A and reopen drawing B and layer
5 will still not plot. Visretain is 0 in drawing B. Is there another
variable that affects plotting of XRef'd layers?

it shows as plotting in drawing B and that's what's confusing me. And, there
are 123 drawing B's so I'd rather not have to open them all and fix
    something...it's why I use XRefs.

all layer 0's are on, thawed, etc

the attribute was not defined as Invisible

I changed layer 5 to Plot instead of No Plot in drawing A, then opened one
of the drawing B's. Layer 5 is now shown as Plot because Visretain is set to
0 in drawing B...but the layer will still not plot

    it's a mystery to me,
