With AutoCAD 2004 I've noticed that the Plot dialogue boxes takes a
loooooong time to open. This is also a problem with properties windows...
and a few others. Everything else seem to work fine (other programs on
computer.) No computer speed issues. The last version (2002) didn't have
windows that opened this slow. Is their any setting to change, to fix this?
Has anyone else noticed this problem?

There is an issue if the printer you are using is a network printer (not
local) and you have installed XP SP2. Basically, even if you are not
using the new XP firewall, you need to open the ports in your own
firewall software. After doing this, you still get a delay as XP goes
through the network, only it is around 5 seconds as opposed to 40
    seconds ;-)

Did you get your problem fixed??? I have the same problem--the Plot Box takes a very LONG TIME to open.

Did you try moving all of your PC3 and PMP files to their own folder and
setting the path in Options? We had this issue early on and found that if
we isolated the files the plot dialog would appear much faster.

    Good luck!
