Now, I'm a metric boy. Grew up on it. Of course I know of the imperial
system - I can work with it in real life, but as far as
    drafting/plotting goes - I don't use imperial therefore I'm stuck (when
    it comes to scale).

Where can I find some decent doc's on plotting imperial dwg's?
What's confusing me is in the Plot dialog, under the Plot Scale section,
it says Scale: 1/8"=1' but in the Custom text boxes it says 1 inches=96
    drawing units. Can anyone explain?

I know this is a dumb question. I should know it - but I don't.
I also searched quickly, but to no avail. I know this topic is probably
    covered somewhere though....

    Thanks a bunch,

    Jon

Its' pretty easy once you learn one:

    1/8" = 1'-0" = Scale factor 96
    1/4" = 1'-0" = Scale factor 48
    1/2" = 1'-0" = Scale factor 24
    3/4" = 1'-0" = Scale factor 16 (same as 1/4" divided by 3)

Unfortunately they are thing you just kinda end up memorizing.
