Has anyone setup PDMWorks 2005 to use a vault folder on a Novell server?

I have the PDMWorks service running on an XP Pro box.

The service is running using a specified user account, who has full control
over the vault folder located on the Novell server.

The PDMWorks server vault folder registry is correct. Tried UNC path and
    mapped drive.

The PDMWorks service will not start (error #7).

Tested using a local vault folder on the XP box, no problems.

I realize that Novell is not officially supported, but some environments are
    hard/impossible to change.

    Any thoughts?

I think you will find that someone from SW may answer this question if
you post it on the SW forum. You may also find an answer there
already. But beware, because you may likely get the we only support
    Windows servers response.

When you get the "Insufficient Permissions" error, you can count on that's
what it means. You have a permissions problem.

The specified user account needs to have full write/create priviledges on
both the Novell and the local Windows box.

If you have upgraded the vault recently, one of the dirty little secrets is
that the service is removed and replaced with a new service of the same
name which resets the specified user account to the system default.

Either of the above problems could be what you are running into. I have
run into both with cross platform Windows/Novell installations.

    Good Luck.
