I am not sure if this is the right group for this question but can't find
any where else better than here. I receive a pdf at a very large paper size
from others. I would like to take this pdf and reduce the paper size down to
a letter size, or at least half scale of the orginal. Can I do this with the
acrobat if I have the full version. Or do I have to import this pdf file
back to acad then recreate a new pdf, if I had to do this, I beleive the pdf
    quality will be very poor.
    Thanks for your help.

  2. You can't even do it with the full Adobe Acrobat unless you open it up and
    reprint it again.

Honestly there is usually no need to do what you are trying to do anyways.
From the Adobe Reader when you or your client goes to print it you can
select the Reduce to Fit option and pick the letter size and it will print
fine. Even if you were to try to scale it down to an 8.5 x 11.0 at say 1/4
scale you wouldn't be able to print it to a standard inkjet printer without
using the Reduce to Fit anyways because the margins would be too small (1/4"
margin would now be 1/16") for the printable area of the page.
