I'm trying to use pagesetups to predefine plotting parameters. However,
after I import them with pagesetupin, it seems that there are different
pagesetups for model and layout tabs! This doesn't make sense. The
pagesetups do not show up in the drop down list. If I try to Add... The
pagesetups are listed, but their parameters don't come in correctly when
selected. I'd like to use one set of pagesetups to plot from either model
or layout tabs. Does anyone know of a workaround?

    - Will pagesetupin import both model and layout tabs with one issuance of
the command - or is something special required?
    - Do the names of pagesetups need to be unique between model and layout tabs
or can you have the same name - Can you have a PLOT-B pagesetup in both
    model and layout tabs?

I'm just trying to simplify plotting basic sheet sizes to make plotting
easier for everyone. All I'm trying to do is plot the limits and scale it to
a B size sheet. The settings in the dialog box are identical no matter what
model or layout tab I'm trying to plot from. Why does AutoCad have to
complicate it further than it already is?!

PAGESETUPIN will import both model and layout setups. We have page setups with the same name, except for the addition of MODEL or PAPER at the end of the name.

Do you know off hand if the names can be the same - without adding the
    suffix?
I'm attempting to call the pagesetup from a lisp program. I'd like to
simply call for one pagesetup name instead of first trying to decipher where
the user is plotting from then applying the appropriate suffix.

    Thanks for your comments.

  5. No the cannot be the same name. Try it out, open a blank
drawing and create a "test" pagesetup in paper space, then
do the same thing in model space.
