Old Calcomp Plotters Revisited..

I recienty inherited an orphan Calcomp 5500 series plotter. I have
gone through quite a bit to get it running, but I have gotten it to
plot using a HP-GL/2 driver, and the orginal calcomp NT driver.

The HP-GL driver has an issue of droping objects from the plot. The
Calcomp only has 16mb of memory installed, so I am wondering if it is
    running out of memory...

I do have an issue with the Calcomp NT driver. I am running it on XP,
and it appears to work fine, except that I cannot get it to plot in
landscape. I have tried changing the orientation manually on the
plotter, as well as changing it in the driver. Given the fact that it
will flip the HP-GL data to landscape, I have come to the conclusion
that the old NT driver is at fault. Has any one come up with a work
around for this problem other than buying more paper?
    Thanks,
    Alan

I played around with it some more last night, and I think I solved the
problem. I am using LDD Autocad 2004, and I read somewhere one the net
about the Hidi drivers that are included in Autocad. Well, I went
ahead and installed the calcomp Hidi driver through Autocad, and it
worked. I can now print complete vector drawings through Autocad the
print in D sized landscape. I guess if I want to include raster
images, I will have to use the old Calcomp driver, and learn to trim my
    paper.
