Off/on of non-standard viewports

I've created a command recently, with help from this ng, that will turn off/on my viewports if they are on the "-view" layer name. It has other options as well, such as turning the -view layer off if it is frozen and etc.

I thought it was perfect and couldn't think of anything else that would be a conflict. Then someone requests that this also handle non-standard viewports. Personally, I want to tell them to write Santa instead, because he'll have the time to do it right now. The non-standard viewports are created by either using regions or mview. apparently my command doesn't recognize that these are viewports. For now, i think I'm going to add some selection filters. But I would prefer my command handle everything.......

I figured I'd post and see if I can get some assistance before having to actually do it. Any feedback is appreciated.

here's some of my previous posts about my command.

One thing I noticed with non-standard viewports is that you can't freeze the layer or else they look like the regular square viewports. If you only turn the layer off, then it will retain the irregular shape.
