Non-Autodesk products triggering AutoCAD 2005 install

On some of our machines, AutoCAD 2005 tries to install when a user opens a
non-Autodesk application. It doesn't seem to matter what application is
installed (AutoCAD, Land Desk, Map, Arch Desk) or weather it is a
stand-alone or network license. All of the installations were installed
from a deployment to Windows XP systems.

I noticed a couple of similar questions a while back with no resolutions
    posted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had a couple of similar issues. Try logging on to the machine as
administrator, opening AutoCAD 2005, then log back on as user and try again.
Or, make sure 2005 is initiated under user profile by opening it, then try
    the other program again.

Thanks Jenna. I am able to get around this by logging on as administrator,
running the program that is triggering the acad install and letting it go
through the process. I log back in as the user and everythign is fine. I
was just wondering what was causing this problem and what I can do to avoid
having to go through these steps.

Thanks again and any more help would be appreciated.

    Glad that worked for you.
I'm curious why it does that, too...unfortunately I have only gotten as far
    as the workaround.
Maybe somebody else has the answer...
    :)
