I have a large assembly file that I am trying to send to a vendor
using Solidworks 2003. I know that SWX is not backwards compatibale,
but when I send him a neutral 3D solid we still get problems.

Is there a specisl setting for iges, step and parasolid files going
backwards so that it can be read into older software?

Ask your vendor what version of parasolid he can read.
Or yourself saveas parasolid / option, and save as V10.0 to be sure. (should
    be enough for '03)
