Need print to scale help

Discussion in 'AutoSketch' started by Gerhard Selzer, Nov 15, 2004.

  1. My old faithful 1998 Canon BJC-4550 printer could not be fixed anymore.
Got a new HP Deskjet 3845 for Windows XP setup.
Works fine for other printouts but will not print to scale any of my
R6.01 drawings as I found out today.
Marquee and other prints are all dimensionally distorted in different
    proportions.
TechSmith SnagIt prints are proportionately correct but out of scale.
    Would appreciate some advice.
    Gerhard, R6 (with Harvey's .01 patch)

Get the latest drivers from the HP web site.

Make sure there is no fit to page items in the printer setup.

I recall someone long ago having issues like this. As we all tested
scale drawings on our printers it seems some did a very good job and
others did not. For some a 7" line was exactly 7" long. For others it
was not quite 7. Some worked in the one direction but not the other.
