I exported a large number of emails from Thunderbird for backup purposes, but after combining data from different backups, I noticed that many messages are duplicated throughout the archive.

The duplicate emails are increasing storage usage and making it harder to find the messages I actually need. Since the archive contains a large number of EML files, manually checking and deleting duplicates isn't practical.

Has anyone found an efficient way to clean duplicate EML files from a Thunderbird email archive while preserving attachments, metadata, and folder hierarchy?

The duplicate EML files can manually but their is high chance of errors. So, move to a deticated tool such as Softaken EML Duplicate Remover is much better clean by duplicate files. With in a few easy steps your Thunderbird Mail duplicated EML files will be remove. The software preserves original files quality and creates a new set of EML files with only unique emails. This helps to organize the archive and reduce unnecessary storage usage.
