Does anybody know how to merge text styles or has a routine that does
    it.  I'm using r2000.

    Thanks.

    Josh,

Are you trying to change various text entities to be the one style?

If so, can't you filter all text and the change the style in the properties manager?

  3. What about just combining the styles? For instance... we have users here
that insist on creating multiple text styles that use the same .shx file and
settings. So we end up with 5 different styles with the ROMANS.SHX and
other styles. I know you can use the properties window to select and modify
text entities, but it doesn't get rid of the un-used text styles. Purging
will however what about nested text entities within blocks or attributes
    etc.

    Any suggestions on this?

    Thanks,

    Casey

so you want a tool that will merge text styles in a manner similar to the
way the expresstools "laymrg" merges layers?

    yeah, me too.

  5. I *think* it would be fairly simple to iterate through
    the appropriate collection(s) and vla-put-stylename.
The sticky spot will be mtext with formatting codes.

I think with previous examples from Mr. Broad about
iterating through a drawing database combined with the
works of Mr. Uhden's Unformat function (found in the
stripmtext.lsp), might just be a winner.
