I use Textpad...has some nice features, such as line numbers, multiple docs,
etc. which make it easier to work with menus than notepad

  4. Hi Roly,

I don't know if anybody else has tried this but I have been using NoteTab
light for years. There are three versions but so far I have been using the
free light version. TextPad seems to be the favorite among serious code
writers but this has so many options I have not used them all. I save many
Lisp code snips in the Clip Library for easy insertion where I need them.

Though I use it for writing Lisp, I am sure it would do well for Menus too.

There are add-ons too that help with what I do including something that lets
you compare files line-by-line. Don't use it much but when I need it I
    really need it.
