But particularly the more perverse. will treat all people as though
they were operating on his own base motives. that will drive off the
talent... leaving the company with only the drones who cant find
    better options.

it ends badly for the company... and it ends badly for anyone with a
brain... unless the person is self employed. even then he must
know that his best motives will be seen by the perverse person in dark
    light.

Someone needs to dig up jb's post on how to lie, BS
& misdirect at a job interview.

McCain hired Palin (she just got her first US passport & so
is well qualified) after meeting her once & a 15 minute interview
    (perhaps about hunting polar bears).
SureShot was met on a golf course by accident & promoted to
CEO of Halliburton right away. Golf is so essential a job skill.

Jack Welch (former CEO of General Electric)
(Ph.D. in. chemical engineering) blew the roof off a
    GE plastics chemical plant.
    Does that count?

  4. phil,
no offense, but do you think you'll ever post anything on topic?

with me thats about a 20 pct proposition.... beyond that I consider
life itself, and especially business, and management etc common to the
corporate cluster phuck... and thus 'on the larger topic'.... ymmv of
    course.

My view after posting over 100,000 posts to USENET, many different
groups (see my google profile) a relationship develops among the more
mature posters, mutual interests and concerns... posting those outside
of ones circle of net friends does little for those relationships.

Life itself is not 'on some hair split topic'... it is broad
spectrum. What some of us type, had I seen it when I was a kiddie
would have saved me much grief. us old farts like to do what we can
to pass some of these hard won clooz along... or just vent as the case
    may be.

Sounds a bit insular & provincial to me.
BTW, How did you "meet" these few (select) people on the Web in the
    first place?

we are not on the same page here... not a select few... I am referring
    generally to what you might
call 'net friends' etc.... a person tends to share broader views with
his 'friends'.. also in venues with
others in the same general circumstance...

thats pervasively common in most NG's and mentioned explicitly
in the USENET rules on the matter (sorry no link available)...the
mention as I recall is that 20% or so off topic posts are not only
warranted but desireable as they relate to the broader human interests
in life or are just jokes etc.
