Mac user needs ACAD help with HP2500

  1. I am trying to help an architect-friend setup an HP2500. He is using
95/98/2000 on various machines. I installed the drivers, and ACAD (and
Windows) see and print to the plotter. He is replacing a 750c and is
using HPGL-2. I am currently using a 755cm on my (Mac) network and so
am comfortable working with the HP menus.

The problem is that I can't get ACAD to recognize the smaller margins
that I set with the printer front panel.

Any ideas? (and no wisecracks about dumping my computer! :)

I have tried about everything I can think of, including RTFM, of all
    things, and no good.

(I also cannot figure out how to tell the printer that is is using
    opaque bond).

    Thanks.
