I'm about to join a new company where Microsoft Outlook is mandatory, but almost all my previous emails are stored as MBOX files from Thunderbird. These emails include customer discussions, technical documentation, and project references that I'll probably need in the future. I don't want to lose years of communication, so I'm searching for the safest way to Convert MBOX File to PST before importing everything into Outlook.

I looked into manual migration, but the process seems risky for large mailboxes. Many users mention that folder hierarchy changes, attachments sometimes don't migrate correctly, and Outlook doesn't recognize MBOX files directly. Since my mailbox contains several GB of data, I don't think manual migration is the right option for my situation.

After researching different migration tools, I chose the DRS Softech MBOX File Converter because it supported bulk conversion and offered useful options like previewing emails, removing duplicates, and filtering messages by date. Most importantly, the converted PST opened perfectly in Outlook without affecting email formatting or metadata. Everything looked exactly like it did inside Thunderbird, which gave me confidence that no important information had been lost.

If you've recently switched from Thunderbird, Apple Mail, or another MBOX-based client to Outlook, I'd love to know which migration method worked best for you and whether you encountered any unexpected issues.
