I'm in the planning stages of a project that I am to begin. In a nut shell what I am going to do is: We produce cabinets and countertops. We have a software package that enables us to input the various cabinet types, sizes, and specs. This along with other apps give us our cnc programs, parts, labels, cutsheets, & so forth. My project is to query this software's database and produce a set of shop drawings of plan and elevation views of the casework in Acad. This is to be done basically without user input. (I hope).. I've spent the last month or so learning about SQL and the basics of databases. My question---Is now the time to add vba into the mix. My experience with vba is next to nil, I've done a little experimenting in Excel, and just dabbled with it in Acad. I don't have a deadline for this project, and my company will allow me the resources to learn vba if necessary. After researching this, I feel I can do this with just lisp, but I'm wondering if I'm going to find some limitation that I can't get around. Any advise is greatly appreciated. I couldn't seem to find the file. If you wouldn't mind sending it to me, I would like to take a look. Thanks -- Ken Alexander Acad2000 Windows2000 Prof. "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." --Albert Einstein
