Lisp for PANTONE (R) Colour Book Printouts - colourbook.LSP (0/1)

'Evening all

A little while ago in the Acad 2004 group there was a discussion on
how to print out samples of the colour books provided with AutoCAD
2004. I felt the need in the office to have a printed book of colour
chips of the available Pantone and RAL colours contained in the colour
books, for easy reference.

It's far too big a job to assign the colours manually (there are
approx 6000 I think) so I wrote a *very* basic lisp routine to create
AutoCAD drawings of colour samples.

You can print these out on your colour printer, assemble them into a
folder and they become a useful reference.

I've posted DWF files of these printouts in the customer-files group,
under the heading "DWF files of Pantone colour book printouts" for
anyone who wants to print these out. They are on A4 pages, a hundred
or so colour chips to a page, with the colour name and corresponding
RGB values under each colour. The RGB values can be useful for keying
an exact colour into Photoshop (or possibly Acad 2002!).

I 've attached the lisp program, but I'm a little embarrased by the
quality of the coding! It was written as a quick'n'dirty solution to a
task to be performed a limited number of times. There's no error
checking and there are a couple of steps to the process. It also makes
use of functions contained in one of the sample lisp files provided
with Acad 2004and others so I'm not sure of the legality of posting
it publicly. Any way, here goes!

Perhaps someone would like to take on the task of polishing it up!
