I just went to work for a German company and most of the parts have
been made using German names for Features and planes in the file.

Is there any type of Macro or universal decoder that can be run that
will flip all the words to the english default? Or is the simplest
thing to write down the terms in German with an English equivalent and
    bite the bullet?

Maybe I'll just buy Rosetta Stone if need be and add another thing to
    myskillset if need be.

There is no macro that I know of that does this but it would be an
interesting idea. You could export all the names, then use a web
program like Google translator to translate to English, and then
    import back into SolidWorks........

I think that Rosetta Stone might be the best bet. The one good thing
is that at least the icons are the same no matter what language they
    are in.

There is an API macro in help that will traverse the feature tree. You
can run the output into a file, run the file through a translator like
GOOGLE and then with the same traverse write some code to replace the
Deutsch with English. This might get 50%. Many words are likely to be
esoteric enough that you will need a friend/helper. But since the
vocabulary is likely to be limited to a few hundred words, after a
while you could have a nice lookup table.
