kill file question

OK, so I know how to kill file JB.... Does anybody know of a way to
automagically plonk the entire thread that he posts to?

Too many people are feeding the trolls lately; the signal to noise ratio is
really going to hell

 

You could kill file anything with VX in the message. Ditto for hybrid
modeler.

 

Kill anything quoting jb & you'll also kill my sort of OT
responses to his OT posts <G>. And everyone else's.

Til he changes his name again. Looks like he's
"jon_banquer" <> for today perhaps ....

 

And the downside of this is...?

 

unfortunately, outlook express isn't that smart--it'll only filter on words
in the subject, not the message

might be time to invest in a better newsreader

 

How do you "kill file"? Does it work when looking at google groups on
the web? Do I need to be using a newsreader to do this?

In OE, you open the message and go to Message/Block Sender. I don't think
you can do it online in Google because you don't have unique settings, but
then I don't really know because I rarely read there.

If you want to converse in real time, you need to connect through a news
server. This one I use (news.excelonline.com) has been good to me.

Kill files are for those who are weak. Posting about them and who you
have in them is for those who are even weaker. Posting suggestions on
who to add to them is... you get the idea. Well, you don't but perhaps
others might. :>)

If one doesn't like what someone has to say... don't respond.

It's been years since I have directly responded to someone who clearly
needs to treat his medical condition and is little more than a deranged
stalker. His posts have only made me stronger and the time I have saved
responding to his lies, etc has been put to better use letting others
know about VX.
