    CAD Draftsman / Solidworks Guru

    Seeking candidates for a rewarding position as a CAD Draftsman with a
    growing medical device company

    This position includes great benefits, competitive salary, 401K and
    profit sharing. Successful candidates must be extremely
    detail-oriented, very proficient with Solidworks, and willing to learn
    about video metrology and CNC programming.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    · Responsible for parts definition/design - using measuring video
    microscopes and Solidworks to create accurate representations of needed
    replacement parts.
    · Catalog Samples - organize hundreds of small part samples and
    determine tolerances.
    · Stay current with Solidworks workgroups, training modules and new
    ancillary devices.
    · Coordinate with Repair Department manager and technicians to ensure
    parts quality.
    · Work closely with Repair Department manager to perform cost
    analysis and determine the best production options (outsource vs.
    in-house manufacturing).
    · Perform Q/C of all manufactured or outsourced parts using the video
    metrology equipment and Solidworks.

    Requirements

    Applicants need to have excellent reasoning and/or critical thinking
    ability - define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw
    valid conclusions. Must also be expert level with Solidworks and have a
    strong desire to learn more about the product and future enhancements.
    Must be willing to learn about video metrology and Q/C procedures.
    Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus but not required. A strong work
    ethic is required.

    Minimum qualifications to be considered are:

    · Education/Experience - Associates Degree and 2-5 years
    experience; using Solidworks on a daily basis.
    · In addition, we will give preference to candidates with the
    following: CNC programming/operating. Experience working in a Quality
    Controlled Environment is a plus.
    · Proficient Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and other
    traditional business programs.
    · Excellent communication skills required
    · Outstanding work ethic (references)
    · Positive attitude

    Training and supervision on internal processes provided.
    Casual, clean and positive work environment.
