Is there any solution at all to the raster problem with Acrobat pdf?

We've got several files here with raster images attached that appear fine on screen in Acrobat and ACAD but, when plotted from Acrobat, the raster portion plots as a big black box. Sounds like the textmask issue, eh?

I've tried plotting to several printers: and Oce TDS600, HP 1055CM, and our Panasonic DP6010 copier/printer. No luck on any of them.

    Using Acrobat 5.0 with LDD3, Win 2k.

Is our only solution to start plotting these as tiffs then converting back to .pdf? Does Acrobat 6.0 solve this problem?

    Thanks.

Next question: how are you producing your PDF files from AutoCAD? Ours
(produced by plotting directly to Distiller) print just fine on our HP350C
    and other inkjets.

it saveas as a .pdf and they still plot ok.
