Is there any simple way to clean duplicate contacts in a bulk VCF file?

My VCF file contains thousands of contacts, and many are duplicated multiple times. Manually removing them is not possible because it is very time-consuming and confusing with such a large dataset. I need an easier and faster bulk solution to clean all duplicate contacts safely without losing any important information.

 

I faced the same issue when my VCF file grew large after syncing contacts from multiple devices. Manually checking duplicates was not practical because thousands of entries were repeated.

I used Softaken vCard Duplicate Remover for this task, and it helped in organizing the file in bulk without much effort. The process was simple: load the VCF file, select duplicate matching fields like name or number, and run the scan. It made the duplicates very visible, and I was able to remove them all in one go, keeping the original details of the contact safe.

Finally I saved the cleaned file and imported it back without any data missing problems. It saved so much time compared to manually checking and editing each contact one by one.
