import dxf

    hello everyone
    how do you cleanly import dxf file in solidworks (2007)
    when i do it, i have two much lines to work with

    Import the dxf as the first sketch, it will be visible.

    Then use this sketch to build your other sketches on.

    I suggest using DWGeditor to either turn off unneeded layers or to
    delete any data (lines) you don't need. Once you have it slimmed down,
    you can copy an past into SolidWorks.

    If you also have AutoCAD it is a bit better than DWGeditor.
