How to turn off existing Alternate dimensions and everything else remain the same?

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by W. Kirk Crawford, Aug 8, 2003.

  1. I have a bunch of dimensions. Some have tolerances, and different amounts at
    that, and some don't. Some have different number of places after the decimal
    point.

    But almost everyone has 'Alternate Dimensions' turned on.

    Now most have different dimstyles. But those with the tolerances are mostly
    effected if I pick the dimension first, then type "dimalt" and then "OFF".
    Then I click the update dimension button, then click that same dimension.
    Mostly the tolerances goes away. I am sure the tolerances were done with
    override anyway.

    Like I say I just want to turn off he alternate dimensioning and everything
    else remain the same.

    I have tried (entget(entnext #) but I don't know which assoc contains the
    switch "dimalt".

    Does this not work?

    dimoverride
    dimalt
    off

    <select dimensions>
