I exported the same mailbox into EML format more than once, and now both exports are mixed in one folder. Many emails are repeated, but some new messages are also present. I need to clean the duplicate copies without affecting the newer email records.

Exporting the same mailbox twice usually creates a messy EML archive, because the same messages may appear in different folders or backup paths.

Do not start deleting files by name or date. First, keep one untouched copy of the exported EML data. After that, you can try GainTools EML Duplicate Remover as a reliable offline utility for this exact situation. It supports EML/EMLX files and gives you the choice to remove duplicates within one folder or across all folders, which helps when the repeated export created copies in multiple locations.

It cleans up while preserving attachments, email properties and folder structure. Try the demo on a small exported folder first. When the results look correct, run on the complete mailbox archive.
