Hatch scales

  1. Hi all,
does anyone know where it is stored whether an existing hatch refers to
    acad.pat or acadiso.pat?
E.g., I have a dwg with measurement=0 and a hatch in it. Now I set
measurement =1 and create another hatch with the same pattern and scale as
the first one. Obviously they look different, imho because they refer to
    different .pat files.
I searched the DXF reference to no avail. Also the entities data seem to be
    the same.
How can I find out, which .pat file a hatch uses?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kathrin

  2. Hello Kathrin!
    ----------------
I think there is no such a reference.
    Without a doubt! : )
No! They look different because these two hatches contains TWO DIFFERENT
    patterns already!

If you have a try to update (HATCHEDIT with NO changes!) your First (old)
hatch NOW - you will get the NEW-FASIONED hatch just like your Second (new)
    one!
    Try this

    Command: (entget (car (entsel)))

and select OLD (before changing!) and NEW hatches and you will see
the differences in the 'Pattern Data' section:
DXF codes 49 and so on.
See DXF Reference \ Hatch \ Pattern Data !
New HATCH command uses .pat file just accordingly to MEASUREMENT ; ) !

    Have a nice hatch! ; )
