Check out Dave Stein's Visual Lisp Bible. It's a shame it couldn't have been
marketed, but he's giving it away as a PDF for free.

FWIW I've been reviewing Daves PDF recently.
    & I don't think I'd recommend it for beginners.
In fact I would have reservations recommending it to
anyone as it is right now, unless they where very
experienced in LISP & perhaps ActiveX
Mostly because a) there are limited worked examples,
most examples are single line code snippets
that need to be 'played' with to test out. (a difficult thing for a
    begineer)

However the biggest failing is the errors / bugs in the few coded
sample apps that are included. Beginners shouldn't need to debug code
samples (unless that is the point of an exercise of course).

IMHO, a code example should work, no if,'s buts or maybe's.

OTOH if this was a first draft I'd say it is a great piece of work, and I'd
look forward to the final revision.

    Just my $0.02, YMMV :)

Luis -- do you think there is a demand for an English-Spanish
dictionary of construction? I have an old dictionary that I have
thought of converting into a new product that could be sold and
    used as reference manual.

Nobody needs to worry about that much longer as Stein who does
not say so out right is clearly tired of being a whipping boy for the
parasites from the CAD industry and has stated on the home page that
he is retiring the website -- including his software and all content --
as of this month, August 2004 when the domain name registration
    expires.

Three years university study which has mostly been forgotten.
What is your opinion of the question?

Briefly, yes, as an add-in -- but -- I doubt that app you cite can match
what I have in mind and what can now be accomplished using the
    ..NET Framework.

Can you jump back into the thread between Luis and myself
Herman? Its not like we're standing around sucking beers in a tavern :)
Its too difficult to keep two or more conversations going.

I wouldn't have a clue how to intercept the prompts other than copy
to the clipboard. Why just the prompts? What of the rest of the user
interface? Are you suggesting some sort of selection process that
captures the text in the command line and translates it?

    What metric issues?
