My Gmail account has been warning me that I'm running out of storage, and it's becoming a real problem. I have almost ten years' worth of emails, receipts, invoices, client conversations, and personal documents stored there. Deleting random emails isn't something I want to do because I know I'll need many of them later. I started looking for a reliable way to create a complete backup before cleaning my mailbox.

At first, I tried downloading data through Google's export options, but the process wasn't very flexible for what I needed. I wanted something that would let me choose specific folders, keep the original folder hierarchy, and save everything in a format I could easily access later. During my search across various forums, I found several people recommending the DRS Softech Gmail Backup Tool.

After trying it, I noticed it was much easier than the manual methods. The software allowed me to preview my mailbox before starting the backup, which helped me verify that I had selected the correct folders. One feature I really appreciated was the Date Filter because I only needed emails from the last five years. Another useful option was the ability to Migrate Gmail emails to PST, allowing me to open my archived emails in Microsoft Outlook whenever necessary. It also supports PDF, MBOX, EML, CSV, and many other formats, so you're not limited to just one output.

The backup preserved all attachments, timestamps, sender details, and folder structure exactly as they appeared in Gmail. I also enabled the Remove Duplicate option, which reduced the overall backup size considerably. What impressed me most was that the process completed without changing anything inside my Gmail account.

Has anyone else found a better solution for creating a complete Gmail backup before deleting old emails? I'd really appreciate hearing what worked for others.

Key Features of Gmail Backup Tool:
    1. Date Range Filter
    2. Remove Duplicate Email
    3. Supported all Major Versions of Windows & Mac OS
    4. Maintain the Data integrity
    5. Save Gmail Emails into Different File Formats
    6. No Credential is stored during migration
    7. Login using third party app password
    8. Backup & Migrate emails without attachments

Note: The demo version of this software backup 50 emails from each Gmail Folder.
