Global symbol changes and merge overwrites database info

We have an skf file which shows trees. Each triee has fields for diameter, condition, etc.. The trees show up as dots so we created another file and changed the dots to markers and tried to merge that skf file to the original - database skf. This action obscures or loses the database fields or makes them inaccessible when right clicking and properties.

Is there any way to globally change the tree symbol from a dot to something else besides markers? We tried but were unable to do it.
If not, then is there a way to merge markers without obscuring database information?

    Hello

Your trees were dots because their scale was incorrect.

Highlight a symbol and in the edit bar there is a scale factor.

If you want to change many symbols at once. Select them all and then right
click on the selection and go to the "Entities" option.

We tried the suggestion, but changing the scaling factor won't enlarge the dot - possibly because it doesn't have dimensions like other symbols. We are currently outsourcing this project to a drafter with an Autocad full version.
