POSITION: SR Design Engineer / LOCATION: West Chester, PA 19380 /
REPORTS TO: VP Engineering

integrated with the manufacturing process to translate the designed

2007 revenues are expected to exceed $100 million.

General Purpose and Scope:

This position would design, develop and document technical solutions
for new and existing products (mechanical components and subsystems
including system integration aspects). It is the part of an excellent
career path within the organization.

Responsibilities and Activities:

* Apply mechanical engineering to the design, documentation, testing
and installation practices for elevators and subsystems
* Develop designs independently and as part of a Product Development
team.
* Detail planning of assigned project / tasks within the schedule
associated with particular design project.
* Executes necessary calculations/analysis for the technical solutions
utilizing SolidWorks, Cosmos and PDMWorks Enterprise.
* Work with other engineers on the team, marketing, supply management
and suppliers to develop and validate design specifications for the
assigned area of responsibilities.
* Manage and support prototype builds and test activities to validate
new designs. This will include procuring prototype parts, support the
development of test plans, and participate in test activities and
coordinating customer evaluation of complete products.
* Work with suppliers, supply management, marketing and factory
personnel to ensure successful implementation of new designs. This
will include cross-departmental design reviews and actively seeking
feedback to ensure product acceptance for internal and external
customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST HAVE

* A passion for Designing mechanical systems and components.
* 5+ years experience in Design and Manufacturing Engineering
* BS in Mechanical engineering or related field.
* Business acumen to understand overall business objectives and
industry sector.
* Background in applying Design for Manufacturing and Design for
Serviceability.
* Experience in Project Management and applying stage gate processes
* Proficient in applying 3D CAD modeling systems
