I have setup the 2004 flexlm server and it appears to be running properly
I tried to do a netsetup install of LDD R3 and everytime I start it I get the box
FLEXlm License Finder and I have to type in the license server name and then
autocad runs. How do I make it stick?

There is no MAC address in the licpath.lic file on the local machine

If I did solve this issue by modifying the local licpath.lic then do I have
to modify the file everytime I do an install?

We solved this issue by simply deleting the local licpath.lic files from any client machine that kept prompting for the server.

I redid the netsetup. I misunderstood that server id meant mac address. I had put in the servers ip address.
