I downloaded the latest Windows 2000 HP-GL/2 file from HP's site. After
downloading, extract the files to a folder and go to the Printers window.
Right click on your plotter go to the SHARING tab and select ADDITIONAL
DRIVERS. Then proceed to the folder that you extracted the downloaded files
to. It will add the HPGL/2 files from HP to the drivers list.

It seemed to link my PC3 file back to the correct plotter driver. This was
how I fixed my error - hope it helps those of you that have the same
    problem.

    Good luck.
